prob sata from your psu
Those are SATA power connectors yes. You connect the one from the Power Supply into the SATA power connector on the cooler.
The ones from the PSU will match the ones from the cooler. One side will be male, the other female.
Where would it be on the cooler?
show us all the cables from the cooler, it should be hanging from it or will be in the box it came in.
This is the manual for the cooler BTW.
It has picture diagrams of how it should be set up. Just follow the instructions.
The cooler comes with the SATA power adapter cables.
If it didnt you need to contact DeepCool and have them send you one.
But it is supposed to be included, unless you got it used.
I didn’t get it used and it didn’t come with one
the pamphlet that came with my cooler doesn’t even include instructions for a sata installation cable
Well the link I just gave you is the complete manual, follow those instructions. its pretty clear on what to do. If the correct cables were not in the box, then you need to call DeepCool to get them, or send it back for a replacement to wherever you bought it.
Okay, i read through the manual and it didn’t seem like the fans on there were any of the same that i have. all the fans just were connected by the 5V D GND cables. I will contact deepcool and try and figure out what happened but my cables look nothing like the ones on the diagram
there isn’t a single place in the cables it came with for sats connection
it’s all just 3 or 4 pin and the 5V cables
and nothing else
Yeah call them, they will get you squared away.
Another possibility. If you bought it from like a 3rd party seller on Amazon, Ebay, Walmart, Newegg, etc you might have gotten screwed and sold a used or remanufactured card. Sometimes people dont realize they are buying from a third party on those sites and get scammed by them. The website should still honor a return though if thats the case.
Ah okay, that’s probably what happened. I ordered off of amazon
I watched a video and the way he set it up looks absolutely nothing like mine
Ouch, yeah check your order details to see if the seller and shipper was Amazon or a different one. They have a guarantee for when stuff like this happens, so contact support and tell them everything, whats missing, etc. Take good pictures of everything you received because they will probably want that for the investigation.
I hate third party scam sellers, its such a plague nowadays
I checked and it said it’s from deepcool? I’ll start going through the process to see what happened. As soon as i looked at a tutorial, i could immediately tell mine was different.
maybe they accidentally sent you a remanufactured one then, that shit happens all the time too. It might be fastest just to return it and ask for a replacement to be honest. Tell them what happened so they dont do it again.
Okay sounds good, i appreciate the help, i felt stupid asking but i figured it was better than just settling for whatever this is
hey no problem gotta learn somehow right? Everyone runs into stuff like this at some point or another.
@untold finch Hey sorry for the ping but figured i’d give you an update. So again, me being clueless and new to building pc’s, i ordered the LS720 SE which IS slightly different from the LS720 and doesn’t use a sata connecter for power. I simply just connected a 5V Cable back to the daisy chain of fans instead of connecting one of the to a JARGB slot. Thank you for telling me to contact deepcool or else that would’ve been a massive waste of time.
