Hello, I’m looking for help on my computer not picking up my SSD. I recently picked up a new m.2 and put it in make sure everything was shut off and connected it like you should. When I turned on my computer, my SSD and M.2 did not show up I was able to format my M.2 but not my SSD and is nowhere to be found. I really need to get this drive back since I have my wedding photos on it. The drive is connected and I reconnecting it and restarted but that has not helped it does not appear in my disk management nor it picked up by the PC at all. Any help is greatly appreciated. (C is boot drive, E is the M.2, G is the external drive I have)

some motherboards disable sata connectors when a m.2 drive is plugged into a certan slot
you should check too see if thats the case
Thanks for replying! I just read about that and some YouTube comments and my motherboard does disable those slots but it’s a different slot than what my SSD is connected to so I’m a little confused It’s not working, but I think that’s probably the issue
it should say in the motherboard manual
It did lol, it said it shares data with slot 56 but I have it in 34 but I have my disk drive in 56 and that works so I am just going to plug it in the other one (slot 12) and hope that works
yeah
