#My PC doesn't boot on the first attempt with XMP

With XMP enabled, when turning on my pc it gets stuck on the post screen. If I then restart it, Itll post and automatically open the bios menu without input and if I just save and do nothing, it'll restart and actually get into windows this time. With XMP disabled it boots first time like normal. Why? There's no other issues that I can detect with XMP on, just unusual boot behaviour.

Also I've now confirmed it's not XMP related

Boot order

Prob

But I still believe it to be related to memory training as it'll hang on the memory light for ages

Another thing I should mention

#

Before I updated the bios

#

It barely posted at all

#

Like it was fine when it did and was in windows and everything

#

But it was like

#

1/10 chance it posted

#

And also, the update said it fixed issues with this motherboard and higher capacity ddr5 dimms

#

Its a z790 Pg lightning btw

#

But yeh wdym by boot order?
