It might be a shirt on the motherboard or it's the cpu shorting

#

What cpu do you have?

12700kf

#

What motherboard

#

From the looks of it something is dead

#

Have you had any other strange behaviors with the pc in the past like, randomly turning off, or strange things happening?

Do you have a multi meter?

hollow thistle

No

heady night
#

It's the motherboard or the cpu that is broken

#

If you record with all the cables in the right place and from turning on the pc and a few sec I might get some more info but it sounds like it's just dead components buy if you want you can record the vi's

Vid

@heady night you still there?

  • You should reseat every power connector on both the motherboard side as well as on the PSU side.
  • Clear CMOS.
  • Remove the PCI-E extension.
#

But before you do that try the most simple thing first.

#

Reseat the RAM.

#

Either way there are a lot of variables here as well as components so tracking down the culprit might take a while.

Tried cmos, removing extensions, reseating the ram and reseat ever power connector

#

Could the motherboard cause the problem?

#

Could be a lot of things... Ideally you would disassemble the system completely and set it up on a cardboard box or something.

#

Get the system running on bare minimun. So just mobo, cpu, single stick of ram, some stock cooler on top.

#

Also did you test RAM one stick at a time through each DIMM slot?

runic dragon
#

If you had another PSU to test with, that would be great.

Would using my warranty help?

runic dragon
#

Probably, but only if you send the correct component to it

#

If you send a bunch of stuff off for warranty, they'll just send the stuff back and charge you

hollow thistle
#

what do you think is most likely causing the problem?

runic dragon
#

As I stated before, too early to say

#

Could be CPU, motherboard, PSU, hell even the case itself might be shorting a component.

#

That's why I would like to tear it all apart and do a basic test setup

hollow thistle
#

Rebuild it?

runic dragon
#

If it suddenly starts working, we're able to test each component to see when it stops functioning.

hollow thistle
#

Ok thanks

#

Ill keep you updated

Seems like I spilt some sort of liquid

Cleaned it and everything is working
