Whenever I unlock my A33 with fingerprint, there is a brief period of 5-10 seconds of lag. I tried clearing the cache, switching to safe mode to see if if the cause was a third party app(which wasn't). It occured in the past too, but then I factory reset my phone and the lag went away, but I don't think this is a reasonable solution to the lag. Anybody has a solution?

Only suggestion i really have is to set the phone back up how it was and test the behavior between each change, but it more likely than not is just a firmware bug and you'll need to talk to phone manufacturer about it
If it's a bootloader unlockable device and custom roms exist for it, that would also be another option
