#Where to buy PSU PCIE cables with low profile connectors

Hello,

I am still working on my build, but I have run into a small snag when I went in to do the wiring. The slots along the bottom of where the motherboard gets mounted on the case wall that are used, usually as a pass-through for the PSU cables for different devices were designed in appropriately, narrow by the case manufacturer, rendering them too small, to allow the connectors to fit through them to pass through any of the cables from my PSU which in this case means, I am having to figure out alternate wiring methods for my PC i.e. connectors for my GPU. Does anybody know where I can purchase cables for my modular PSU but with those cables, having low profile connectors on them, as in smaller, more narrow connectors than the standard ones that come with the modular power supply units? I already contacted the cablemod company and they said they do not carry them.

Wait are you talking about the cable itself or the plastic bit that connects

Because from what you said it sounds like the cable management holes are too small for the cables

Or rather the connected at the end of the cable

Idk if there’s really a “low profile connector”

Because to fit in whatever slot it goes into like for example a cpu 8 pin or USB 3.0 header or whatever it has to be a standard size

I think just use a different cable management hole

Like if the bottom ones are too small just put the cables through the ones in the right side or something and route them to where they need to go . The cable are probably Long enough for that so I don’t think you need to buy any new cables

The plastic connectors don't fit through the passthrough slots that go from the PSU compartment, through the MoBo mounting wall to the front compartment of the case....The cables themselves are no problem

The problem is the design of the case itself.....the passthrough slots/holes are too narrow. I spoke with Mars Gaming (they make excellent quality cases and their support is fast and friendly too bad they are only in Europe)......the mfg said they realized the problem and corrected the slot problem in the next version of the case.

Just route it through some other hole for now… at least it’s not like the cable is ketchup and mustard where you have to take every possible step to keep it out of sight

Especially the mustard for me, since I have a crazy stupid allergy to the smell of mustard....it gives me a wicked evil sinus headache which then spawns a migraine which then sometimes sends me to the emergency room to get under control!
