#Motherboard VGA light wont shut off

Ignore it... every thing is fine, it is just a feature of your mobo...
ye but google and common sense says that a debug light that stays on means somethings wrong
Highly doubt its a bug or something, the light doesnt go on unless something triggers it to do so
It is just saying that the video card is properly connected and running, if it was blinking then id worry!!!
and since its off now, it means its not connected properly? doesnt make sense
Hm, I must not be understanding what he is asking then?
Well, open your mobo manual and look up what it means...
It means there is an issue with the gpu
the gpu has no issues in use and thats why im confused
Doesnt crash under heavy load, voltages, clock speeds etc etc are normal
The light randomly turns on during random use cases and wont turn off until reboot
has done so when idle, gaming and light use completely randomly
No graphical glitches or artifacts
All the parts are 1 month old
Well I feel it is just fine then if nothing is actually going wrong then...
There has to be something wrong that im not able to figure out, a motherboars debug light that turns on during use is not normal under any circumstances, unless its a extremely rare case of a faulty debug led itself
Look in your mobo manual to see what it could mean...
And are you sure it is an issue with the gpu or is it the mobo is a lemon?

All I know is I only trust one mobo brand, AsRock my friend...
AsRock is ASUS
lmao
let me correct, owned by same company
Nope, they split along time ago and are now separate companies
yeah was just googling that my bad
Ok, thats fine, dropped that already on my end
AsRock didn't like what ASUS was doing and I guess some one invested to own the rights, I think, been a while
My AsRock mobo has a debug lcd screen built onto the board that gives you a code which can be looked up in the manual, I love it!!!
bump
does anything change if you leave it for a while?
it stays on until i reboot, no changes other than the light goin on
It has turned on 3 times during use so far, but usually it turns on and stays on when booting up the pc
so it doesnt boot at all? or it randomly doesnt boot?
i usually have to boot up my pc twice to not have the light be on at all time
it boots every time with no issues
with the light staying on, has no effect on boot process or the time it takes to boot
it is not asus. though a spin-off company, AsRock is different
yes other guy already clarified that
sounds like the debug is broken
that is like one in a million chance :D but im starting to believe that too
asus should add 2nd debug light row for debugging the debug lights
you said theres no issue with booting, meaning the debug (showing something wrong) is clearly incorrect
this is why they wont lol

one question, has this always been happening, or when did it start
well the first time i noticed the light was 2 weeks ago but i ignored it because i didnt know it was a debug light
Its just a power LED i'm pretty sure
components being around 35 days old at this point with no hardware changes being made during that time
Its meant to serve as that
its literally a debug light for debugging
You can change it in BIOS > Advanced settings > Q-LED
If you have a little display on your board you can set it to display your CPU temperature too
or light the CPU light red if the CPU is above 90c
You can also just set "post-boot disabled" or something
I made mine check my CPU temperature but i'm on Ryzen and I have a little display on mine
something like this
Disabled after post
Or put a piece of black tape over it
thats not a solution, imo
