Is the build just for gaming?

#

Also do you live near a microcentre?

#

And does your budget include peripherals and monitor/s?

Budget 2000 - 2500$ USD
I am a video editor (Premiere Pro and Filmora)
light gamer, a lil 3d work so keep that in mind
I play at 1080p and "might" upgrade to 1440p who knows
I do use Ray Tracing a lot
I have built a pc before (for my girlfriend) (went i9 4090)

Here are my thoughts:
ddr4
(When going over 64gb ddr5 has a tendency to not work well)
low tdps are a must and cooling needs to be overkill, (a cool chip is happy chip)
AIO is ok but I dont plan to upgrade anytime soon so air could be better in the long run 5+ years

Parts:
CPU
Core i7-13700K 3.4 GHz 16-Core $399.94
CPU Cooler
Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler $119.95
**Motherboard **
MSI PRO B760-P WIFI DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard $159.99

Crucial P3 Plus 4 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive $216.82
Seagate Barracuda Compute 8 TB 3.5" 5400 RPM Internal Hard Drive $114.99
**Video Card **
MSI VENTUS 3X OC GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB Video Card $599.99
**Case **
Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower Case $154.99
**Power Supply **
Corsair RM850e (2023) 850 W 80+ Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $129.99

give me your takes on this build and keep the above in mind

dry canopy
#

Is overbudget a bit

somber void
#

32gb of ram wont work haha i max out 64 a lot

#

i like it otherwise

dry canopy
#

Okay

steel crypt
#

or multicore?

#

single core perf?

dry canopy
steel crypt
#

not happening

#

4 sticks on d5 is hella unstable

#

more likely to not post

dry canopy
#

Apparently they max out 64gbs

somber void
steel crypt
#

oh, thats 4x32

#

wack

somber void
steel crypt
#

2x48 time

dry canopy
#

Is that something people usually do?

somber void
#

idk

dry canopy
#

They make 2x48??

steel crypt
#

d5 has wack stuff

somber void
#

why does it need to be ddr5?

dry canopy
#

Faster ig

somber void
#

less stable though

steel crypt
#

ddr5 is stable itself

somber void
#

i dont need pure speed or i would have gone 13900k

steel crypt
#

which was actually leading into my next question, what exactly do you need in this build?

dry canopy
#

Apparently for youtubers I think

steel crypt
#

that doesn't really answer the question

#

depends on the intensity of the programs

#

what they utilize

dry canopy
#

Cuda cores 🤷‍♂️

somber void
steel crypt
#

2x48, vs the 2x32 on d4

#

though if you really wanna run 4 sticks on d4, you can

somber void
dry canopy
#

That case might need some fans

steel crypt
dry canopy
#

And the NH-D15 is overpriced

steel crypt
#

im still not really sure what to focus on in this list.

dry canopy
#

Don’t gigabyte pcbs crack?

steel crypt
#

not as far as I've heard

dry canopy
#

I’d get the Msi Ventus 3x OC 4080

steel crypt
steel crypt
#

they're barely above armor cards

dry canopy
#

I mean they don’t crack 🤷‍♂️

#

And doesn’t Zotac have bad customer support?
