Also do you live near a microcentre?
And does your budget include peripherals and monitor/s?
i have those coverd
Okay
i wish
Rest in pieces
no! i do video editing
Okay
i play a few games but i mostly do research and video edit
roblox, minecraft, and unturned
Budget 2000 - 2500$ USD
I am a video editor (Premiere Pro and Filmora)
light gamer, a lil 3d work so keep that in mind
I play at 1080p and "might" upgrade to 1440p who knows
I do use Ray Tracing a lot
I have built a pc before (for my girlfriend) (went i9 4090)
Here are my thoughts:
ddr4
(When going over 64gb ddr5 has a tendency to not work well)
low tdps are a must and cooling needs to be overkill, (a cool chip is happy chip)
AIO is ok but I dont plan to upgrade anytime soon so air could be better in the long run 5+ years

give me your takes on this build and keep the above in mind
Part List - Intel Core i7-13700K, GeForce RTX 4070, Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower
How about this? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nyPvWt
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600KF, GeForce RTX 4090, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
Is overbudget a bit
Okay
does your work benefit from ecores?
or multicore?
single core perf?
How about this? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7pPvWt
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600KF, GeForce RTX 4080, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
Nope
not happening
4 sticks on d5 is hella unstable
more likely to not post
Apparently they max out 64gbs
thats what i said! XD
you dont work with youtubers do you
2x48 time
Is that something people usually do?
idk
They make 2x48??
d5 has wack stuff
why does it need to be ddr5?
Faster ig
less stable though
i dont need pure speed or i would have gone 13900k
which was actually leading into my next question, what exactly do you need in this build?
that doesn't really answer the question
depends on the intensity of the programs
what they utilize
Cuda cores 🤷♂️
yes
also, d5 just has higher capacities currently
2x48, vs the 2x32 on d4
though if you really wanna run 4 sticks on d4, you can
Part List - Intel Core i7-13700K, GeForce RTX 4070, Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower
That case might need some fans
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600KF, GeForce RTX 4080, Montech AIR 903 BASE ATX Mid Tower
And the NH-D15 is overpriced
im still not really sure what to focus on in this list.
Don’t gigabyte pcbs crack?
not as far as I've heard
I’d get the Msi Ventus 3x OC 4080
Ah, unfortunate
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600KF, GeForce RTX 4080, Montech AIR 903 BASE ATX Mid Tower
considering how notoriously mediocre Ventus cards have always been, I wouldn't
they're barely above armor cards
I mean they don’t crack 🤷♂️
And doesn’t Zotac have bad customer support?
Yes they do https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/zotac.com
