Just put this together and I think it’s a decent value, apart from maybe the power supply, mobo, and case. One of the requirements is that is is a sff build, and this was just the first case I thought of. Any ideas from the people? (Also the cooler might not actually fit — haven’t checked that yet lol)
Price is sub 1400

And it’s still rgb

Yeah sure

#

Can’t see why not

#

Well

#

It’s actually the same price

#

But it is faster ig

#

I’m mostly looking for price cuts, and if possible I’m questioning whether or not it’s all compatible (space wise)

Wait for 7700xt instead

#

Comes out tomorrow

#

Hm

#

How much is it meant to cost

#

Bc like

#

$350 is a pretty sweet spot for so much performance

little token
#

bump lmao

#

7800xt has an msrp of $500

I’ll consider it, but then I’ll have to spend less on other stuff

#

I’ve got a reasonably tight budget

#

The 500 is a large increase over the 350, are there any ways I can save some money?

vagrant sky
#

Well what are you using the build for?

little token
#

Gaming and rendering (milder though) + video editing

#

Preferably it would still be sff as I would like to be able to bring it places

That’s p cool

You might not be able to fit a fan above the PSU if you go with SFX-L

#

That's the only potential compatibility problem that strikes me

little token
#

Hm

#

Is there a better combo I could go with?

ornate juniper
little token
#

Yeah the only problem is that sfx psus seem to run more expensive than sfx-l versions

#

Although the performance increase of adding 2 fans is probably rather significant

ornate juniper
#

For whatever it's worth, you probably don't need 850 W for this system

little token
#

Good point

#

This is true

ornate juniper
#

And you can still have 1 fan up top, the SFX-L would only block the front one on top

#

I can send some photos in a sec

little token
#

It’s cheaper and smaller

#

Also by EVGA so hopefully warranty is better (or something)

ornate juniper
#

I don't really know anything about these, maybe see the LTT forum PSU tier list

#

Man sff builds suck

ornate juniper
#

Apologies for the crude photos. In the first photo you can see with my SFX PSU, the power cable is near the fan. If you wanted to use SFX-L, you'd have to shift up the PSU as can be seen in the second photo. A slim fan might work with SFX-L, but a 25mm thick fan won't fit

#

Some people will buy a low profile power cable, but a lot of those leave AC power contacts exposed which is dangerous

little token
#

Interesting

#

I think I’ll just go for a smaller psu

#

It’ll save space and probably make it easier/ more performant

#

(This is also my first time building a computer, so I’ll have plenty of challenges as it is)

ornate juniper
#

Yeah. You might also want to consider using grilles on your top fans. It's not really super necessary but it can help prevent cables from pushing in there

little token
#

Not a bad idea

#

Never even occurred to me

ornate juniper
#

They are nice to have up top but pretty necessary for my radiator because it is a tight fit

little token
#

Unfortunate

little token
#

Do you have any advice abt motherboards? This one seems kinda expensive, but that’s also coming from atx mobos

What’s the difference between the nr200 and the nr200p?

#

Besides the price lol

ornate juniper
#

P comes with a glass panel and a GPU riser

little token
#

So it doesn’t really matter

ornate juniper
#

Imo no
