Last night everything application on my pc went white and froze but I could still hear everything. After a while I turned it off and on and got a “SMART Failure predicted on sata6g_4 : WDCs240G0A-00jh30”. Every fix I see says to go into bios and turn off smart self test but when I do that my pc doesn’t even boot. What should I do??

The other day this happened to me. Jus yesterday I received a new ssd to try and fix the boot problem however I am getting the same error code and failure to boot when I turn off smart self test. However I did keep the “dead” ssd connected. Can’t troubleshoot to much until I get the standoff for the ssd in two days.

Not booting with or without the old ssd connected. I tried resetting cmos however nothing changed. Please what do I do??

Looks like it's trying to boot from the old SSD

Go into bios and change your bootloader

If you had 2 drives in your machine when you installed Windows it sometimes glitches out & installs to bootloader on one drive & the OS on an other.

If you pull the drive with the boot loader on it or if it fails while computer becomes unusable
