What is your exact make and model of laptop? Also, are you trying to utilize the graphics card in the laptop for something like gaming, or do you just need the displays for light office / document work?
If the laptop truly only has one video output method, you're looking for a USB Dock / Hub, though most of those are limited to 4K 60Hz output and won't be able to utilize the laptop's GPU output.

Left side of the laptop contains the following, so I'd just get an appropriate USB-C to DisplayPort cable to run a second monitor. No clue what refresh rate it'd run at though - I haven't yet had the need to connect a monitor to USB-C ports that support DisplayPort.
