#Ram usage high

.
is it causing any issues though? Windows also uses RAM for the operating system, which isn't shown in the breakdown
it goes to 100% when im playing some games so yes
and how can it be windows, if i had a 8gb stick, which i did for some time, I wouldnt even be able to open chrome without hitting 100%
well windows just uses as much ram as it pleases
eg: I have 64GB of ram and just having chrome and discord open it uses 14.5GB of RAM
windows philosophy is: why not use the RAM if you have it
ok but can i tell it to chill out
And why not
yeah I'm not against it, but I can see it being a problem if RAM is limited
Yeah, there should be a way to limit windows ram usage
tbf, windows should be smart enough to release resources if other applications need it
so something might be wrong here
Yeah that is tire
I've personally reached the stage where if I have a problem with my pc that can't be fixed in a day, I'll just reinstall windows XD. but I realise this is not ideal for most people
its at 40% but steam and spotify and discord open onstartup
It’s just not ideal…..period
it shouldn't be necessary, that's for sure
