  • It doesn't show up in the Galaxy Store
  • It shows up in Google Play, but doesn't download (it loops the loading symbol)
  • I set it up in the Game Launcher app, but when I go to install it, I get this message:

This content is no longer available for your phone. Contact the content provider if you want them to add support for your phone.
It seems to be trying to install via the Galaxy Store, which doesn't have it in the first place. What should I do?

#

Okay, for some reason Google Play decided to work. Marking as Solved.
I have no idea why it works now

Be like that for a few days now it works sometimes and doesn't next time try downloading the apk file of discord if the play store is not working properly

Good to know.
How do I work APK Files?

Very simple

#

Just use your internet smarts and don't download from shady sites, malware on phones does exist

copper thorn
#

I see. That's neat

#

I am new to using samsung devices, so I appreciate all the tips so far

#

Are there any other things that I should know sooner than later with this phone?

Tbh the only thing that i can suggest to mess around with at some point or another would be dex, it'll probably blow your mind

#

You've literally essentially got an android chromebook in your pocket once you connect it to a display

#

App multitasking, multiple windows, desktop experience, etc..

#

is veyr nice

copper thorn
#

interesting. I've never tried a chromebook either, what are they like?

normal moon
#

Not something i'd ever suggest to actually waste the money on, but they are nice if the use case fits perfectly

#

Basically an entire os that is based offa a browser and basic app support (most newer chromebooks also support android apps too now, so that does exist)

#

Samsung dex is basically that, just more polished in its own ways

copper thorn
#

I see. Is that something I can look into and easily do myself, or is that something I would probably need help on?

normal moon
#

Nope, literally just connect your phone to a display and it'll ask you if you wanna enable dex

copper thorn
#

Oh wow

#

Sounds super simple

#

I may look into that too, seems neat

#

So APK Files can just be flat out installed using a browser, and I can connect to a display via dex

#

Is it preferrably a wired conection or does it work wirelessly

normal moon
#

I actually don't know if dex works wirelessly, i'd assume probalby not?

#

It can be wireless if you use the samsung dex app on your pc, and just remote control your phone

#

But i can't recall if you can just cast to a display or not

copper thorn
#

I see

#

This may be somewhat nitpicky, but would USB-C to DP/HDMI work, or just C-C?

normal moon
#

That should work perfectly fine, does also work c-c

#

I personally use both c-c if i'm using my portable monitor and also a usb-c hub with hdmi and a bunch of usb ports

#

It does output enough power to power a portable monitor as well, depending on the display at least hehe

copper thorn
#

Oh neat

normal moon
#

Full screen games that have kb&mouse support should work completely fine, as well as controller support works as you'd expect as well.. overall for what it is, dex is actually really polished

#

also we don't talk about the half torn apart phone, my s21 had an oopsie a while ago, waiting for replacement display and back glass

When you download the APK file you got to change your settings so you can install unknown apps because not off the official Google store
