hey, so I got an lg g4 that i wanna try to bring to life, but all of the batteries are dead.
So what I'm doing now is powering it by an USB that's just connected to the battery phone pins. (with the power block of course, idk how its called)
but every time I try to power the phone on its just showing an battery without anything and turning back off...
Any help? (It looks like this right now but just other phone, see photo)

LG devices do absolutely hate functioning without a battery as well, so it could be as simple as that.. either way, i would advise against doing this because the potential of both electric shock or overvolting is pretty high

Just get a replacement battery and don't do jank shit like this without proper regulators, mains power is not something to fuck with

So i just found an old battery, but as i remember every time I would use the phone with that battery and charging the phone the phone was decreasing the battery faster then increasing and when i tried charging it I could've leaved it for an whole day and it would only get to 50%

literally just search "(phone model) battery replacement" without the parenthesis

#

Considering you've got batteries laying around, you could also just search the model of battery and find it easier that way

You think it wouldn't be as the old battery?

Buy new, not used

If there's issues with the replacement, return for a new one, rinse repeat until you eventually land on a good battery

Either way, 3rd party companies have a tendency to produce them a lot because old phone batteries to have a so-so market

#

especially older lg phones because a lot of their different phones can socket the same batteries
