#I5-13600KF + Strix B660-I

You should get a z690-z790 board , some b660-760 put too much voltage in the cpu making it overheat
and since its a b u cant play with voltages
isnt there a UVP option ?
cant i play with that to control the heat
you can lower the voltage but your clock speeds will get lowered too
i know some people who really regret buying a b760 with a 13600k
if you are unlucky the board will put too much voltage and ur done
unless you lower the voltage , but you really lose on clock speeds
i watched this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sxhEpDqqUY
can you tell me if its valid
Nobody else really made a video about this and made it clear yet so I had to let people know.
Sorry for unprofessional unedited video, but I finally found a fix for this cpu gen overheating/consumption problems.
Thanks MSI for giving us this BIOS update, it unlocks uvp, no idea why intel locked it. Its game changing!! Previously we only were a...
i am reading around that its ok as long as i do the correct settings
and with it the performance isnt what you want ?
no my z790 is great
ohh sry i confused things
the b760-b660 is the prob
and i dont advice buying a b660 anyway , these boards had problems
the thing that holds the cpu into place was bending the cpu overtime
the problem is its the only one available for me right now
oh
so i will wait for someone with hand-on experiance with my scenario to judge
cant u buy it from somewere else?
is the difference between b760 and b660 big ?
or a z690
i dont really know , but i know that b660 bend cpus
sadly they are at least 2x the normal price and get delivered like 3 weeks from now xD
the slot bends the cpu itself ?
You’ll cpu will be fine
what about the performance ?
I promise
it rusn fine
It’ll run full performance
H610 will run bad but that’s it
so if i undervold it, it should be okay-ish correct ?
And h710
unless you can change it with intell XTU? idk havent tried
U don’t need to undervolt
you cant undervolt it without losing performance
i've seen ppl on other discord getting 1.4V in their 13600k
Yep
Cooling has VERY little to do with the mobo
Promise you’ll be fine
yeah i understand, i was trying (in my head) to see if i can resolve the overheating issue with that case
Just look at the differences between mobo chip sets and see if you’ll be fine(you’ll be fine)
ty ❤️
Np
can either of you tell me if this video is valid :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sxhEpDqqUY

this guy is advising to undervold by 0.150v
saying it reduced the heat by 30c
You just can’t overclock on b660
I think that’s outdated
USB versions depend on specific mobo models
But overclock info is correct
u sure u can UV with b660? i heard people on other discord regretting buying one cuz they cant UV and their cpu runs real hot
Look it up
Idk
I have an Amd chip
yes UV helps a lot
i didnt really tried to UV with my old b760 board
so i cant really answer
Just got feedback from people
with b760-13600k or even 13700k
i see, i will wait for someone with hands-on experience with my case then
Gaming : Amd price performance > intel price performance
if you dont count all the problems that comes from using amd
Productivity : intel > Amd
None 💀
All issues are fixed
instead of 13600k
and i've seen slow boot , crashes , expo not working
and more shit
i wish i had all those options to pick from
At launch
I understand getting intel
i never had amd :/ but i heard that the 7800x3d is a beast when it works correctly
before had like a 8700k
Dec 2022 I think
Nah I wouldn’t regret
yeah i dont regret
It’s a great chip
i know its great
i waited a month and i got the wrong mb for my case xDD glad you guys are having many options
Might want to check microcenter for bundles
Ig you already bought ur cpu but you can always return
I saw a 12900k bundle with a z690 and ddr5 for 450
12900k means lots of heat tho
damn thats amazing
but yeah that deal is insane
sadly no microcenters in europe
u got some insane deals
wdym? u can have a matx board in a atx case
but if u have a ATX in a matx case might be a prob tho
its nzxt h1
i order mATX MB by mistake
the case takes only mini not micro 😦
is it the nzxt h1 v2?
no the original h1
yeah i got the replacement screws xD
i am jumping through many hoops to get this build done
haha yeah
Lol
tiny pc with huge power xD
what gpu u getting?
What gpu?
3070ti
Oh we had the same question
Nice
i have it on a i7-7700k
2nd hand 3070 ti?
i had originally a 3070 which broke down, the seller replaced it with a 3070ti for free
at some point whenever i turned my pc it would show green pixels and no pictures
i read about it online and it said it was a manufacturing problem
i'd already used it for around 6months , then i got a free upgrade
damn 6 month after getting it it died
actually my gpu 3 month after i got it already has a dead fan 💀
and i bought it when gpus where high in prices
i need to replace it or get a refund
u cant replace it ?
oh good
where i live (saudi arabia) not many options
and my gpu doesnt go higher than 60-65° so i dont really care honestly
btw all i am doing is just to run zelda TOTK at 60+ fps xDDD
among other casual gaming :3
i use my pc almost just to play apex legends lmao
upgrading from my old pc almost changed nothing
except i play more AAA games
the things we do for our favorite games
i got 100+AAA games on my steam collecting dust

i finished red dead redemption recently
one of the best games i ever played
i cant play anything now cuz nothing will be as good as rdr2 i'm sad
i'm looking for THE game but cant find it 😢
Starfield hopefully will be that game
I hope
50% chance I’ll say
