Um it just hit 100 degrees on everything and I shut the computer down, I was literally playing on this computer yesterday and it was fine then I shut it off and unplugged everything (nothing inside the pc) to do some better cable management and turned it on and it began over heating and now whenever I turn it on it starts and everything but I’m on the MsI screen on the monitor and then it shuts off
Yeah it means you're hitting the TjMax of the CPU so it shuts itself off to keep you from damaging it
Remove the cpu cooler, apply new thermal paste and make sure the cooler is securely in place.
@spiral lava
Why would it all of a sudden just hit that though
I was just playing on it yesterday
And it was fine
I guess I can try that, do I have to remove any cables or can I just unscrew it, clean it, reapply, and then re screw?
Yeah it feels pretty hot still around where my middle finger is
Feel the tubes
If one of the tubes feels hot while the other one is cool, it means your pump has failed
They both feel pretty normal
Not hot at all
But uh is my thermal paste suppose to look like this
It looks like part of it is black
Alright I’ll see if I can find my thermal paste
Also make sure all your wiring to the pump is securely in place
You could've accidentally knocked something loose or disconnected it while you were doing your cables
Should I just use a regular rag to clean it with some isopropyl alcohol?
Rag, coffee filter, shop towel...
Something that doesn't leave any fibres or lint behind
Isopropyl is optional
Alright I used a rag with isopropyl
Wish me luck
It’s booted!
Ok we good so far
Pc is sounding nice and quite
Here’s a video
I looked at temps and showed the inside of the pc running let me know if you see anything iffy
Um
It hit 100 degrees so I just turned it off
Crap! @still crag I was running malaware bites after I got it started to see if I had any malware and then it shut my computer off and then I touched this pump tube and it’s hotter than the other one!
The one my thumb is on
Yeah thats not good
I think your pump has failed
If your AIO still has warranty, now would be the time to RMA it
You need to install a different cooler in your PC for now
How do I check my warranty
Invoice, email, receipt...
How long do warranties usually last cus I’ve had this since late 8th grade and I’m now in starting 10th
I can’t find where I bought this
I think it was newegg tho
Usually 6 years. Look... This is tech support not customer support. You will have to figure out the warranty on your own.
