Write Protected USB

So I was moving this game to my usb drive so my friend can take it and he advised me to change it from fat32 to NTFS and no I can no longer use it any more any ideas?

i believe she dead, iirc with flash drives and even ssds once they reach the end of their life they go into a read only mode
