It’s a laptop HDD. Don’t know what “video drive” is supposed to mean but I assume it’s just a drive for media storage

i dont wanna spend $30-40 on ssd when i can get a hdd for like 10 used but not too many hours

Can’t spend twenty bucks?

tribal hinge

Ok. On any machine running modern windows you REALLY want an SSD, at least for booting

yeah i do for my main rig but this is my old parts i was gonna turn into a server

#

i dont expect much from it.

Modern windows on an HDD is giga-pain. Consider using Linux if you must use an HDD. Especially if it’s a server anyway

grim laurel
#

why do you need a server just for backup though

tribal hinge
#

noo

#

its a server for hosting

grim laurel
#

ah

tribal hinge
#

but if needed a backup pc

#

so its not gonna be used for much or often

#

so didnt wanna spend too much as i was re-using old parts

#

ddr3 stuff
