56-58°c is fine
58,60c is fine on idle state?
yes
With fans off, yes
your GPU will not be damaged
It's gonna naturally heat up until it hits the fan threshold, no big deal really
Not worth installing the MSI app to prevent it
when i touch GPU heat sink it's hot as hell so i download MSI gaming app just to disable Lights and Zero Frozr
it will be hot as hell if you touch it
Human hot is not pc hot
60c isn't that hot from a 3dp owner lmao
that's cool to the touch
Yea lmao
The solution here is don't touch PC components while they're running
lmao
yeah that's an easy way to have a shocking experience
Idk i felt so hot when i touch GPU thick metals
Some wise words over here
60C is a safe "cool" temp for components, but it'll burn your skin if you touch it for long enough
if i disable Zero Frozr. GPU temps goes to 29-34c on idle. such a large difference 🤷
yes because the fans are on
Yeah that's cuz the fans are on
60c is fine
if you're worried then turn the fans on
gpus are designed to sustain hot temps
so such large difference will help the GPU for longer lifespan?
The same amount of heat is being generated. When you disable Frozr, it's just moving that heat into your room faster
no, the lifespan will remain the same
Considering my macbook hits 100c almost always and has been running for more than 14 years, I think you’re pretty safe
problem is i have i5 4570 .weak cpu . when i play and stream games at 30fps lock i am facing shutters 😅
obs studio and it's filters already consume too much cpu usage
Actually, you’ll put more strain on the fans, which probably die earlier anyway
That's a completely separate issue, unrelated to your idle fan config
i mean MSI gaming app consuming my weak CPU power 😅
All assumptions unless you actually look at your per-core CPU and GPU usage
yes if i run fans non stop it is grabbing more dust but the temps 😔
but the temps what
29-34c Vs 58c idle GPU temps
And you’ll wear the bearings. 60c is fine, really, nothing to worry about
And? It doesn't matter, as all three of us have told you
Same amount of heat is being created
Just getting pushed into your room at different rates
Same rate
Haha I had msi 1660 super gaming x. My idle temp is 60c. No need to overthink it 😅
the fans will start rotating once it cross 60c and again it drops to 59c and again fans rotate 🤷
I mean, in one scenario, it sits inside the case for a little longer.
Yea
Yep that's how it works
aren't u worried about the GPU fans keep on and off
Do 👏 not 👏 overthink this 👏
ok then
That's how it's designed to work
between MSI gaming app don't have windows 11 support 🤷
Don't install it, ezpz

Nah. These are normal temps for gaming x version it's been 3 years my GPU is running fine
Just chill out ✌️
I can play 2d indie games having under 60c if i disable Zero Frozr feature
That does not matter, not even a little bit
ok
What’s that name even
u guys don't use this software?
Zero frozr
Your GPU is perfectly safe going into the 80s
MSI gaming app
MSI's branding for turning off the fans when the GPU is cool enough
Yea but who at marketing was like, lets call it that
Uninstall it, don't overthink this, go play game
Your GPU is not magically better by reducing the idle temp
ok let's leave about temps but wt about fans? they just keep turning on and off between 59-61c temps
Same exact answer
That's how it's designed, don't overthink this, go play game
The GPU keeps its fans off to be quiet, until it reaches a threshold. That threshold is 60C
Fans turn on, heat gets dumped out, fans turn off
@astral tangle here is another solution for you just buy any GPU which has lower temps because right now you are overthinking and it is not good for you.
As I said it's normal temps for gaming x version.
this gpu already too cool if i disable Zero Frozr
