  1. Don’t loosen the cooler
#

Good 👍

#

Lemme read through it again

#

I’ve heard that if the pc is possessed, it’s the power supply

#

Try reseating the cables going into the psu (if it’s modular)

Hang on, let me look up what the error codes mean

#

OH

#

I GOT ONE OF THEM

#

Hmmmmm. I guess get a new psu? Each component works individually, right?

solar grotto
#

Ok, the white vga light means that your GPU isn’t being recognized by your motherboard.

serene terrace
#

Yeah

#

But everything was working on the first boot

solar grotto
#

And…huh

#

The green boot light, if on for an extended period, means a hardware problem

#

So, I think it means that for some reason, your GPU is either not working properly or isn’t compatible with your motherboard.

#

The fact that everything worked at flyer first boot, and then stopped intermittently, made me think it was the psu

Then the GPU must be having a problem, because I am almost certain the problem is the GPU

#

I has idea

serene terrace
#

@solar grotto are you able to test the gpu on a different system?

solar grotto
#

If you have another computer, swap the GPU out with your current one, and see if that works. If not, we know that the problem is the GPU

#

Oh

serene terrace
#

Great minds think alike 😁

#

😂

solar grotto
#

Guess so

#

Ok, so all @solar grotto needs to do now is test the GPU out on a different computer

serene terrace
#

Yes

solar grotto
#

Well

#

It could, but it is unlikely

serene terrace
#

If anything happens, it’s the psu.

solar grotto
#

Eh, I’d say GPU

serene terrace
#

Yeah try that too

solar grotto
serene terrace
#

Yeah

#

Maybe

#

Steps to maybe figure this mess out
1. Update bios 2. Test gpu in another system 3. Swap out psu

serene terrace
#

I’ve laid them out in I believe easiest to hardest

^bios page

If you’re unsure how to go about updating, search “asus tuf x670e bios update” on YouTube
