#pc lagspikes

I would assume it is your ram. This is becuase without an adequate amount of ram, your pc won't have anywhere to store temp files and will freeze the screen so it can have time to remove unnecessary files that are being stored.
If you can list what parts your computer is made up of, as well as their amount (gigabyte, terabyte, etc.) I should be able to help with your freezing
i have 32 gig, and i actually did that, perhaps it did spike without me seeing it, i had the resource tab open to see
my cpu i9-13900k, 2080ti, i hjave 2 m.2 drives 2tb each
my motherboard is a msi mag z790
G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 6400mhz 32GB
and thats my ram
its also the correct clock speed
my ram usage is quite high though, it usually sits ad 30-40 when i start my pc
Do you have any programs that you know take up of a lot if system resources
Clipping software, live wallpapers, etc.
Download and use latencymon
i have medal, i used wallpaper engine before but switched to lively wallpaper something
what does that program do?
Checks latency and finds out the cause
how long should i run it for, also can i run it while gaming?
I think it just runs for a few mins and tells you what’s wrong
I wouldn’t run it while gaming but sure
i assume i would send the output here later? also im ingame atm thats why i asked 🙂
Sorry about the late reply, I was on a plane
no worries
spike just happened and the program says this
I’m currently updating bios via on board flash feature
now my ram speed is at 4800 though
this issue is still happening after updating bios
Instead of?
6400, but my xmp was off after updating, but i enabled it again now when i logged in today
👍
can the power plan balanced perhaps cause this issue that i am experiencing?
I haven’t heard of that happening
