Current specs are i7-2600 with a 1060 3gb and 16gb of ddr3 ram any suggestions on what to upgrade will be helpful

this is what ive currently got in my basket

remove the gpu cause ive learnt its not that much better than my 1060

thats around £130-£140 but i dont know if i should be upgrading the gpu first or the cpu and stuff

there are no AM4 motherboards that support DDR5, as there is no AM5 motherboards that support DDR4

#

so if he wanted to get ddr5 he'd have to spend 200 dollars for the processor (7600x)

unless you for some reason pair a i3 12100 with a ddr5 motherboard

and the i3 12100 is still not too cheap

i think its like 100 and something bucks

I would buy a refurbished workstation and plop the gpu and SSD in if I'm being honest

I found a i5 10th gen for £89.99 is that a better cpu than the ryzen 5 5500
