Well, in that image you are running Forza Horizon
get a new friend and also send a pic of you not playing forza
my friend is a computer engineer and i asked another friend thats an it and he said the same thing format without backup cause it may have infected other files
Do you actually use Pulseway and Wallpaper engine?
And I am guessing you actually have Razer, Corsair, and MSI stuff that needs those things?
If not stop them from running on startup/remove them.
Homie you just have a tremendous amount of bloatware on your system
A lot of things on desktop yes
Click on the startup tab on the sidebar of task manager, sort by status, take a screenshot
Started gaming halfway through seeking help
i do ive got an msi mobo and razer keyboard and headset
i dont think thats the case cuz it wasnt like that a while ago like a week or 2 ago it was stable i started noticing it like 2 days ago when i saw a huge fps drop on games i usually play, that when i started analyzing task manager\
Just because you use their hardware doesn't mean you have to run their software
i use razer cuz i have presets for my headset and keyboard and i use msi to control fan speed
You can control fan speed of mobo on the bios. Maybe one step more to do but it's not something that is normal to change much after its set up.
Something to try - This doesn't have to be permanent, but it'll help a LOT in isolating what's going on
Disable everything here except securityhealthtray.
Disable Pulseway & WallpaperEngine from starting up
Disable MSI from starting up, if there's a separate option in-app
Then, restart the computer
What do you have that is Logitech then?
mouse and wheel
@hardy apex Come back after you've done these things & restarted
I have a logi mouse and flight stick but I absolutely never run the software, because it is unnecessary bloatware
I ran it once, setup the binds I wanted, then uninstalled it
i will sure try that but i dont think a ryzen 9 will be 100% used up cuz of these stuff
when i first got the cpu i did a fresh install of windows
i was analyzing the usage of the cpu for a month and a half i think it never got close to 100%
With all these software enabled
thats the reason i got a r9 and not r7
Doesn't matter. Stopping these will help isolate what's causing the issue
Like, if you wanna figure out why your CPU is being hogged, you can't also have a shitload of CPU hogs running
idk if it matter but i checked its usage in windows safe mode and it was stable at 0-2%
and i did a full scan and an offline scan which showed that it found 11 malwares
Come back after you've done these things & restarted
okay so ill turn off everything on startup menu ill just keep windows defender on and ill be back shortly
also disable startup for wallpaper engine, pulseway, MSI, etc
Screenshot of task manager sorted by CPU usage?
its windows something i havent installed it
Are you using Microsoft Edge browser?
What about microsoft Teams?
no i dont have it installed
Are you using any widgets on the desktop or notif panel?
What else?
You have a virus scan currently active
no
I'm sure you'll see it running if you go to security settings
Looks like you have a corsair app running/installed too. No need, go to the program and turn off automatic startup
So far there's zero indication you have any viruses on your computer
You're just really irresponsible about the bloatware you let run on your machine
i am
my friend suggests that its a shadow virus or something im not sure what he meant
you say your friend is a computer engineer, how old is he?
Nvidia Container is screen recording
You probably have set it to record all the time for instant replay function whatever its called
Shadowplay, yep that's definitely a factor
25-26 not sure
With all due respect I don't think he knows what he's talking about
Your task manager is filled with bloatware, even if you do have a virus, no one can be sure until all that is removed
Well, reinstalling windows compleatly is one way to get rid of bloatware too, as long as you don't install it again that is.
