hmm ok let me make some more googling

#

from what i can read

#

you need a ryzen 3000 5000 or 7000 to have rebar

steady glen
#

alr that all i could find too

#

thnx for ur help

pliant pike
#

yea dont buy that cpu thinking its gonna support it

steady glen
#

for me its a musthave because its free performence, im gonna search for a 3600G or 5600g now

pliant pike
#

as someone who did some cuda dev: yes rebar is very nice

#

you need less clock cycles to transfer data

steady glen
#

ive never been able to use it with my 1060 sadly because i had an 8700

#

now i have a new pc and tested with and without rebar and it really does make a pretty big diffrence

pliant pike
#

yep in high res games its a must

steady glen
#

i wanna make like a second mini itx pc but i dont wanna buy a gpu yet

#

so vega 7 is doable for for licht tasks

pliant pike
#

i guess

#

intergrated gpu are not that bad

steady glen
#

way more bang for the buck than 1650/1660

#

these gpus are clown

#

s

pliant pike
#

i know they are nvidia

steady glen
#

your an amd fanboy ?

pliant pike
#

no i run what ever run best

#

for my gaming pc its nvidia

#

but i dont go with the cheap gpu

#

the cheap nvidia gpus are, well cheap

#

nvidia charging fcking 1k for a a2000

#

like what the hell men my server need a gpu for vdi

steady glen
#

average nvidia experience. i would buy nvidia if the prices were normal and without the slowass bandwith of the video memory. id buy a 4090 but everything else is outoff the picture so i went with amd this time

pliant pike
#

yea the a2000 is just because it dont need a power connector, and i want to put it in a server

#

and the one 6 pin i got is used by the perc controller lmao

steady glen
#

i dont know what a perc controller is. im not familiar with servers but i ran a vm once

pliant pike
#

perc is a raid controller

#

so you plug like 8 or 12 sas drives in

#

and can create a raid

#

like my servers all run raid 1 for the os and a raid 5 or 6 for data
