Yep, either will work
the guy at the store told me that it wouldnt , so i didnt bought the adapter , he said somth like the old monitor wont work with rtx 3060ti
Work is a stretch. No audio, capped at 1080p 60hz. Your monitor is your bottleneck now
Yep, though I wouldn't expect your typical VGA monitor to exceed that resolution to begin with.
@scarlet night Sounds like the store clerk was either trying to sell you on buying a new monitor, or has little-to-no experience with older hardware. The monitor will work fine, but you should definitely look into getting a new higher-refresh-rate monitor at some point
And if it's a VGA monitor, there wasn't going to be any audio output via GPU regardless of cable/adapter/output port
i see thx Sanic your the best 😉
I did use my Hdmi with tv , so since i need it only for 2 months i think i will survive with a TV for that time period , buying a new monitor now is a waste for me since ill be moving to other country.
Now thinkin about it , wouldn't TV be bad for my eyes?
Generally it's not the screen, or any specific type of screen, that causes issues for eyesight - It's focusing on a close object for several hours without balancing it out with faraway focus. That, and keeping your eyes open without blinking often, drying them out. Often a result of focusing on a screen too much. Whether it's a TV screen or computer monitor or phone or paper book, doesn't really matter
The remedy (according to my optometrist) is to take breaks looking out a window or going on a walk. Ideally, having your computer/TV near a window is best, since you can just look to the side and focus your eyes on faraway objects
Guy at the store is not intelligent
