to cut to the chase. green artifacts, audio crackling when tabbing out of game, random freezes constantly which i'll have to restart pc for it to work again
tried ddu drivers, new drivers everything
sent it back for RMA they found nothing wrong with the gpu, idk what to do. got a 6700xt
are amd drivers just that shit or what
tried pc with my 1050ti worked fine, no freezes no artifacts, nothing

does anyone have any idea, im completely out of ideas and just want my goddamn pc to work properly

my 1050ti works fine, and i can play with that yes
but i'd rather want my 200+fps over 50fps, just want it to work...

Send full specs

#

If you have an alternate slot try that

#

The 1050 ti uses not that much power

#

75w can be supplied by the pcie slot but im scared that the power cable is broken

AMD 5600G
AMD Radeon 6700XT
Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x16gb

@sharp urchin can you run a program called Malwearbytes and hitman pro

leaden ruin
sharp urchin
leaden ruin
#

did you run both of them

#

@sharp urchin make sure your bios is up to date

sharp urchin
eager ivy
# sharp urchin its updated to latest

have you tried to stress test your pc, furmark, or 3d mark, cinabench, also try windows memory test, if nothing pops out, also try Memtest86 to deeply check on your ram, to see if there is any issues

open your event viewer and check what is the cause of your issues,

also try to check if you have any corrupted windows files
open command prompt in administrator mode,
type sfc
/scannow
and check if there is any issues

leaden ruin
#

i know why you would suggest this BUT its not recommended. Like seriously its not a good idea especially if you cook food in this oven

#

its sad that you think i dont. but it also releases toxins and if you do this in your oven you cook in thats not a good idea

sharp urchin
#

could it be psu? might explain why the 1050ti works fine as it draws less

#

ye cuz i tried with other ram sticks, same issues

#

got a cx750m

#

pc requires 599 based on website calcs

eager ivy
#

how did you use memtest86?

sharp urchin
#

not checked event viewer

#

through usb & changing boot in bios

eager ivy
#

can you open it?

#

and try to find an event that happened at the same time you had issues

#

also, what is the speed of your ram?

#

their mhz and also their latency

#

are you running A XMP/expo?

sharp urchin
#

ye ive ran ddu several times
3600mhz, latency "18-22-22-42" is what it says on corsair site

#

and ye i got xmp on

#

just a side note, used to only have 1 cable from psu that splits into a 6 & 6+2 for the gpu, tried adding another cable from the psu as i thought that could be the culprit but still same shit

eager ivy
sharp urchin
#

2 & 4 ye

sharp urchin
#

no artifacts yet but still hearing that crackling sound when tabbing out of game

#

audio

#

not just headset, crackles on speakers too

eager ivy
#

oh you did, my bad, hum you did all 13 tests on memtest?
is your motherboard bios up to date?

stone pond
#

Im having the same issue, I have a 6750xt and the same ram

sharp urchin
#

and ye bios updated to latest

eager ivy
#

and the number of passes set to 1

sharp urchin
#

was 4 passes

eager ivy
#

by default its 4 and it takes like 4-5 hours long to complete it

eager ivy
#

like all 13 small tests repeated for a total of 4 times T-T

sharp urchin
#

changed back to the old ram as i mentioned earlier

eager ivy
sharp urchin
#

dont think ive seen artifacts yet

#

but crackling still there from time to time

eager ivy
#

i need to check how to see if the issue come from your motherboard

sharp urchin
#

at this point i might just buy a new psu, mobo & ram

eager ivy
#

how fast is your ram rated for ?

#

the old one

eager ivy
#

have you tried to put it at 3400mhz ?

sharp urchin
#

i tried

#

couldnt get pc to post

#

old ones just at the default 2633hz rn xmp off

#

was like that when i first installed them, could not change bios and get pc to post with both sticks in

#

heard from someone else here that its normal with corsair ram idk

sharp urchin
eager ivy
sharp urchin
eager ivy
#

you ran stress test ?

sharp urchin
#

with furmark ye

#

40 minutes no issues, steady 99% load 65 celsius

eager ivy
#

kk

#

do you have hardware info ?

#

and did you use event viewer?

sharp urchin
#

shit ton of stuff in event viewer
error with kernel, vss, tpm etc

#

no clue what any of it means though

eager ivy
#

windows 10 or 11?

sharp urchin
#

11

eager ivy
#

ahhhhh

#

well you cant deactivate tpm

#

:/

sharp urchin
#

thought it was fixed with old ram sticks

#

but now artifacts are very prevalent again.

sharp urchin
#

well, time to buy new pc

modest sonnet
#

sounds like the gpu is dying on you

#

especially if other cards work perfectly

#

can you send a pic of the artifacts you see?

scenic rover
#

@modest sonnet dying a silent death until you would see a black screen or no post

pale pebble
#

do you have a external sound card

pale pebble
modest sonnet
sharp urchin
#

sometimes they're more "glitchy" other times just solid green

#

might just replace it soon, cba troubleshooting anymore

#
