#What's wrong with my PC?

Images Included. I sat down to stream some Phasmophobia on my system (i7-10700k, 32GB RAM, FTW3 3080ti, 2 SSD, 2 HDD). I updated my GPU with Geforce Experience the other day after the card disappeared from my Project listings, and no stats being read in Precision X1. I was streaming with StreamLabs, some Edge tabs open, Precision X1 open, Discord open, Steam and Phasmophobia open as well. The game seemed sluggish earlier, and I checked Task Manager to see the Stats, according to Task Manager the CPU was at ~55% utilization, RAM was at ~65%, Disk at 1%, Ethernet at 1%, and the GPU at 35-45%. With Precision X1 reading the temps as 45C. What's wrong with my PC?

It is alright to @ me.

This is very symptomatic of a VRAM corruption and/or power issue.

#

VRAM corruption or Power? I have an EVGA P2 1200W in it?

#

With a UPS hooked up to it

supple wasp
#

Oh no not what I meant by power.

nocturne robin
#

Oh do you mean the chips on the GPU?

supple wasp

Dirty power from a loose pcie cable to your PSU can cause this. Or a failing connector on a modular PSU can cause this. damaged cable. Or the power distribution on the GPU can do this. But I would start with the VRAM component first.

What do I do about it? And it only does it occasionally?

Can you operate windows enough or is it so bad that doing anything basic on the system is frustrating if and nearly impossible.

I have steam, voicemod, edge, and Virtual desktop open rn, and it's fine?

nocturne robin
#

Though, I have had some issues with the HDMI signal going out sometimes, though I attributed it to a bad cable.

I know things like Afterburner have ways to check and verify your VRAM

nocturne robin
#

Running the GPU Memory Test now

#

Test 8/8

#

Just waiting for passes on it

#

"All tests OK." - GpuMemTest

#

Verifying the Game's data

#

"All 954 files successfully validated"

#

What should I do next?

#

Gonna run a disk check for possible errors

#

No Errors found on C:

#

Though my C: SSD is low, with only ~52GB free

Maybe try downgrading the GPU driver to the latest released that you know worked fine?

nocturne robin
#

The last version also had an issue, when I would try to Project to my other monitors, Windows said that I should update the drivers/try another GPU

#

Though I'll try to reinstall them

pure ridge
#

try that

#

and maybe uninstall drivers in safe mode (if you want in safe mode in normal is also fine) with ddu (display driver uninstaller)

nocturne robin
#

Are you saying it's fine to use DDU on normal boot?

pure ridge
#

not really

#

but i ran in normal mode

#

like if don't want in safe mode

#

even linus said in a video

#

something along the lines in a video about intel arc: "We never really ran it safe mode..."

nocturne robin
#

Oh, I just booted into safe, I think

#

With networking

#

Running DDU now

pure ridge
#

ok

nocturne robin
#

Restarting

#

Reinstalling GeForce Experience

pure ridge
#

ok...

#

Installing Drivers again...

"GeForce Game Ready Driver" "Installation can't continue" "An error occurred."

#

Trying again

#

Still can't continue. Not with Express Installation or Custom. I'll try rebooting again.

#

Failed again.

Updating Geforce Experience

Trying to install the drivers again
