Heya, moved from An acer nitro 5 to my first pc about a month ago so I thought I’d share my first build!

I’m thinking of switching my keyboard to the Huntsman V2 and buying the new Kraken Kitty V2 as my old one broke

Hopefully others will like it too!

Specs:

Ryzen 9 5900X
RTX 4080 Gigabyte Aero
Corsair Vengeance SL 3600 4x16 Kit
Samsung 980 Pro 2TB
NZXT N7 B550
NZXT H7 flow
NZXT Kraken Z73
NXZT C1200 PSU
NZXT F140 x4

NZXT addiction?

tepid moat
#

Possibly

#

I themed it around razer and NZXT

#

As I love pink and white

noble birch
#

NZXT all around ain’t that good of a brand

The monitor is a 34 inch 2k 165hz VA display by Asus, forgot to mention that in the specs

noble birch
#

The VRMs on all there boards are literally e waste

tepid moat
#

Luckily I have not had issues with my board and I only do minor overclocking automatically though Ryzenmaster

#

I’m sure if I tried to push it I would run into issues

tepid moat
#

Yeah that program has some issues I tell ya

#

Every time I restart my pc I gotta reconnect the wireless charging pad for the lighting to sync 😭

#

When I used synapse on my old laptop sometimes it would outright stop working

One thing NZXT and Razer have in common is that their motherboards are actually ASRock boards in a trenchcoat

noble birch
#

Your 2 favorite company’s are the 2 WORST for performance price and trashy software

solar schooner
#

The NZXT C1200 is a neat PSU though, can recommend

But still NZXT is terrible for price and performance

#

My buddy’s NZXT z690 destroyed itself after turning on xmp that’s how weak those are

#

@solar schooner

tepid moat
#

was like one of my last purchased parts

noble birch
#

Want me to show you best thing to do with all NZXT parts?

tepid moat
# noble birch But still NZXT is terrible for price and performance

razer is the same and software issues are 100% a problem, however razer i do for the quartz lineup since i like matching pink and RGB that syncs & NZXT is more about just having an ecosystem of lights that sync and they have white components, but i agree neither company is ideal

tepid moat

i went mostly for aesthetics

i mean it can run any game i throw at it (that i play) the only game i had issues with was star citizen at max settings

tepid moat
#

star citizen was like 70 fps max settings on new babbage outside and 41 at lowest inside

noble birch
#

Wait lemme guess you have Corsair vengeance ram?

tepid moat
#

yeah i wanted the RGB and white

noble birch
#

LOL

tepid moat
#

its listed in the specs

noble birch
#

Oh I didn’t read them

tepid moat
#

pro SL

tepid moat
#

works fine for me

noble birch
#

I really wanna see you oc it

tepid moat
#

i have XMP enabled

noble birch
#

That ain’t oc ing

tepid moat
#

it clocks it to its max out of box speeds

noble birch
tepid moat
#

i dont really need to overclock it

noble birch
#

It’s vengeance ram

tepid moat
#

i have 64 gigs and dont do anything that even remotely warrants overclocking it past 3600mhz

#

sure i could build a better performing pc, heck if i didnt go the aesthetic route i could have had a 4090 and AM5, but for me i just dont need that sort of power and would prefer the aesthetics

noble birch
tepid moat
#

just wanted it, besides i looked into 3d modelling and video editing thats something i may do in future

tepid moat
#

i would have done 128 if they did 32x4 white vengeance, just because i can but they dont

#

either way im happy with it

solar schooner
# tepid moat either way im happy with it

Well hey, it’s a nice looking machine that’ll do well for you. Hindsight is 20-20 and all that. Hopefully you understand to not let minmaxers detract from your enjoyment after the fact.
