#ASUS ROG Maximus VII Hero motherboard error 55.

Update: I have it powered on after lots of testing!
I resitted the cpu which got it to power on but not boot!
Then I tried ram slots with a single ram stick! Found the following
Dimm slot A0 works/fails
Dimm slot B0 works
Dimm slot A1 fails
Dimm slot B1 works.
Can I fix dimm slots?
No, you have to only use the ones that work
I have no idea what is wrong now but getting BSOD 😦
Appreciate that, I have a feeling more than the one slot is fault but no idea how to test further.
Check the event log
I will have a look once back at pc.
Try updating your bios and using different 200% chance working ram sticks
if the issue persists, send it in for an rma so long as you still got warranty on it
you could try your hand at soldering new dimm slots on though it may be an issue with scratched traces making the whole thing basically meaningless.
that would also entail a bunch of equipment like a heat gun, solder, flux, soldering equipment, yada yada
Thank you, I will try updating bios and the ram but I am not going to risk the soldering since I am really bad at soldering haha 😂
It says error in creation for a bugcheck so I am guessing it could be as simple as getting a bugger capacity base drive!!
What’s your boot drive
120gb. It has been my boot drive for a long time
Kingston SV300S37A120G
Best drive I have had 🙂
How much space is free
26gb atm was 14gb but guessing it needs atleast 25gb for operating purposes
Yeah probably
Get a 500gb one
I have a 1tb m.2 I plan on using but just got comfy with the one i have lmao!
The went out the window due to the m.2 port not working!
Ooof
It’s because of low memory so just have to wait and fit new boot drive
All these things are motherboard related. I just change the motherboard to an old one so cpu and all other components and not one problem!
