An OLD MAN'S computer
Thats old
Its surprisingly clean for being such a mess lol
MEGA respect for using the same case my man
The case is only design to hold everything together.
Is it really holding it together tho?
It is
take it to a LAN party
Damn, Your computer looks like it would be in one of those horder TLC shows.
Spec wise it's great though
it makes it easy to swap parts
there's a reason for that foam and duct tape 😛
may god help us
Why help? A case is only design to keep everything together
And help cooling and prevent dust and to protect the components that case does none of those
yea that case does not look good for a 3090 lol
Its not really a case anymore. Its the frame of a case 😂
so what
it's not all about looks
Linus when he was a kid :
Most of the time I would try and find a reason to continue to use old hardware or cases to prevent waste….but at this point that case is a relic and their are some decent quality cases for not alot of money nowadays that would hold that all, cool well, and look better
The case: 🌚
The parts: 🙂
my dad has an old pc with the exact same case
im not talking about looks
about airflow
Very neat 😎 cable ties really helped a lot
helped with tying it to the roof of the case
you could replace the dangling strings with tie wraps and cut their ends off
cooling is pretty great it doesn't have side pannels to restrict air flow
the side panels are used to direct airflow to the parts of the pc
this case has still air meaning the hot air can linger around the gpu
temps are fine
looks? Son, I don't care about aesthetics, I care about functionality 🙂
Well why even have it in a case then. The case I’d say is keeping it from breathing more then a open bench test would or just the mobo laying on top of a cardboard box
🗣️
facts
that shit looks awsome
Yeah but I bet it all thermal throttles on idle
And it’s hideous
stay mad honestly
This is why
it does not thermal throttle even under load.
Interesting
Why would it thermal throttle? Its basically an open bench
lad their are other pc cases with handles
U use it to powerlift? Man, this build is multifunctional 😎
10/10
Could’ve maybe spent more money on the gpu and cpu instead of buying such a high end case
But do they have sharp edges on top that can function as beer bottle openers?

Grab it by the handle and rear for best results 😉
clearly you have never opened an old pc case
not just fruits lol
be clumsy like me to drop it
and it doesn't end well
Why would it thermal throttle. The AIO has plenty of fresh air
I primarily meant the gpu it’s just in a mess of cables and no fresh air
Eh, debatable
You're making a great argument, but u have the worst reasoning 😂
Cables are on the backplate; no air going there. GPU pulls from the bottom and exhaust through the back. But now I see the back is completely closed off.
@ionic crag How did u even connect ur monitor to ur gpu, how hard did u bend that cable 😂😂
Yeah that thing can’t breath
Can definitely breath in. Just not out. Did u punch a hole in there for the cable? @ionic crag 😂
@thorny garden the GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs have a maximum listed temperature of 93c.
it stays around 80c while gaming
and while messing with AI its around that temp.
That’s terrible for a 3090
It's within spec
Yes you don’t want them above 85 they thermal throttle at 80

I love the classy curl at the bottom of the mounting bracket of the GPU. Not just saw it off, no no.. classy curl 😎
Okay I was wrong it thermal throttles at 90 but you still don’t want them near that
if you don't know what you're talking about it's best not to say, but I do have much respect for you admitting about being wrong. I'll give you a medal 🥇
In the datacenter there are 3090's that are running at 85-90c for years
They're fine. As long as they stay within spec. You don't want to exceed the spec. For example take a look at how hot an Athlon XP can get before it cooks itself.
Thats older tech but they can't handle as hot as temps
Or how hot a 13900k runs
that is a fine example under full load
100c under load with a 360 rad
And that thing is fine
Left: If Sarge worked in a datacenter
Right: the new intern cleaning things up
Color coding! genius!!
the right image makes me so happy. this has seriously made my day. Thank you for this image
now that is toasty
No it’s not lol. There are thermal protections to keep it from going any higher.
If I were sarge and wanted to go to lans and just want practicality I would just get a 5000d airflow and make some handles for it lol
Why not get a case with carying handles
Cus 5000d and 4000d are the best cases on earth if you don’t want them get a rog helios
Debatable
Case is a big personal preference
Fractal Meshify 2 is the best case on Earth
NO THAT IS THE WORST CASE
Your opinion is INVALID
facts
Meshify 2 is literal ewaste
What are your sources
What the hell makes it ewaste
The looks (which that is opinion) but then just the quality the airflow is good though
There have been cases of them literally collapsing because of bad quality
Again, source?
Bullshit
The only thing wrong with the meshify 2 is the price
But thats why the focus 2 exists
What if a cable becomes faulty, u have to take all the zip ties and stuff down to replace it
If you don’t have them in the first it’s way easier
Or you do it the Indian way
