Hey so I was wondering what any of your opinions were on refurbished PCs. I'm actually looking to get my first gaming PC so I'm looking at something kind of on the starter side and I managed to come across this refurbished ROG pc. Now I don't know if it is actually good but it does come from the original seller, it has a 2 year warranty, and has free shipping and returns. Any input would be appreciated!

the best way to start out is to build your own
its ass value anyways and that case has horrible airflow, where is the ventilation
for $600 nowadays you can get a decent starter pack
Thanks for the feedback. I’m trying to go with a prebuilt only cause I’m not the smartest when it comes to specs and building. I’m looking in the 500-700 range.
dw about the specs, we can handle those, as for the building, there are thousands of guides, but there is one guide that is a cut above the rest, wish i had it at the time but building is pretty straightforward, if you can set up a console or prebuilt then you essentailly have the skills to build a pc
https://youtu.be/BL4DCEp7blY?t=1990 great and easy to follow along guide

We’ve done plenty of build guides before – But now we’re taking it to the next level. Not only will you know how to build a PC, you’ll know how to build ANY PC – This is the LAST guide you’ll ever need!

What’s your opinion on HP Victus? I’ve heard that’s a pretty solid starter option.
idk shit about prebuilts
they should be looked at as a last resort
youd get better value by choosing the parts you want paying someone or a store a bit of cash to build it for you
Ah
plus if it ends up having issues you dont have to rma it or anything
at least go the buy the parts yourself then pay someone to make sure its all set up
since then at least they can test it in front of you to show you its up and running
I know there are lots of places online where you can get parts. Any you’d recommend in particular?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kJ6bNc already made u a parts list, pc partpicker is the best site to choose parts as it goes through all the online vendors and filters stuff for what you want
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6600, Deepcool CG560 ATX Mid Tower
its how you get the best prices on parts and whatnot
better gpu, cpu is about equal to the 5700g, 1tb nvme instead of 256 gb, most likely faster ram and better mobo, and absolutely a better case
that case works as a nice air fryer
