#Air Cooler for i7-13700KF

Hi all,

I would really prefer to get an air cooler for the i7-13700KF processor for my new build. It is going to be in a mesh case.

I plan to do a custom pre-built from my computer shop but unfortunately they do not allow you to have a air cooler that weighs over 755g for the build. I would really like to avoid having to put a new one on after if I ordered it separately (NH-D15 for example)

Due to this, I believe the best option they offer is the **Noctua NH-U12S ** and I am wondering if this would be powerful enough. I plan to do use this PC for some gaming (mostly CSGO/CS2 when it comes out) and do not plan to do any overclocking.

According to Noctua's website it should be fine but just wanted to double check.

Some other air coolers (under 755g) they have are the following, are any of these better?:

  • NZXT T120
  • be quiet! Dark Rock Slim
  • Cooler Master Hyper 212
  • Be Quiet Shadow Rock 3
  • Noctua NH-D9L
  • be quiet! Pure Rock 2
  • DeepCool AK400

its on par with the fatass noctua ones, 7 heat pipes

dual tower is highly reccomended for a 13700k since its hard to aircool

I think all the dual towers must be over 755g which makes sense and they won't put that in a build. Might be a bit out of luck here if the single tower ones arent enough

sorry to revive this but do you think a NH-D15s could be powerful enough? This time for an i7-13700F

the NH-D15 is the best air cooler in terms of performance

the gen two version should come out sometime this year though

This is probably the best price to performance but the nh-d15 and Deepcool ak620 are killer for cooling the Deepcool actually edges out the noctua by a few degrees from reviews I’ve see
