#is AMD 7600X good? (Compared to any Intel for example)
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
7600x is better in games than a 13400f
imma go look into the 5800x3d rn bcz thats still on am4
performs about equal to the 7600x
they trade blows, 5800x3d winning in cache heavy games, 7600 in everything else
what are considered cache heavy games?
uhh sim games mostly
cities skylines probably
as in simulation

50 game benchmark if you want to look for specific titles
assuming you already have an am4 mobo? which one if so?
i have an old intel mobo that i'm looking to replace
any socket is possible at this point
yh that
if you already had a solid am4 mobo then the 5800x3d is a viable choice but for new builds 7600x/am5 would be the move
btw i got a i7-8700 rn but my main issue is that i have some medion z370h4-em motherboard that has been bringing me problems everywhere so thats mainly why
so i think for future proofing an am5 motherboard would be best
yeah pretty much all b650 boards can handle even the high end chips
wait hold on
are all am5 chipsets with ddr5?
oof
i dont think thats gonna work then
oh yh ryzen 7000 series is just ddr5 only
alright well then ig its back to the 5800x3d then?
yh but the motherboards are about 100$ more expensive
what country?
netherlands
32gb 3200 but my motherboard actually limited it to 2133 so i've never even been able to experience its potential 😂
motherboard rly the worst part of my entire pc

even having to buy ddr5 they dont differ that much in price, only 30 euro difference @jade trench
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
ahhh that sucks
nice ram speed blud
let's see
if you already have the ram you could just go 5800x3d or 13600k
I've gone back to the 7600x idea
i'll show in a few seconds
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
I think the cpu cooler might be overkill
Chose the motherboard for the wifi integration bcz im one of those people
Memory was actually same price for 400MHz more
x isnt worth the extra over the non x, ps120 is on par (or even beats) the ak620

alternatively you could stick with your current ram and get a 13600k
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600K
for strictly gaming the 7600 comes close to a 13600k with ddr4 so if that’s all your doing i’d get the 7600
people keep recommending me thermalright but i cant buy them
why
alot of them arent sold here in nl
and i dont like purchasing from amazon
Is the Deepcool AK400 a good alternative?
basically same price as the Phantom Spirit
its worse
ak620 would be about on par with it
ak400 is basically.. half the cooler
I have this list of my current pc combining with the upgrade i want to get (those are the ones with prices on them)
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, Radeon RX 6600 XT, Corsair Obsidian Series 450D ATX Mid Tower
But there's a bit of a thing here
Does this mean i need another cable or that the PSU doesn't have enough slots?
I was thinking i need another cable but i just want to be sure
it depends on the price and total platform cost (you will pay more for a quality motherboard and ddr5), however in terms on price/performance ratio, AMD can be as good as intel
oh i'm sorry this ticket is already a few days old
I posted in this ticket bcz of my last question
Maybe i should've made a new one...
its important to note that AMD non-X series may achieve very impressive power usage efficiency and low temperatures, compared to intel's 13th gen
in gaming get the 7600 over the 13600k
^^ i was talking about the PSU stuff on pcpartpicker
unlikely
unlikely i'd need another cable?
