wym
like a optiplex or some equivalent office workstation and upgrading it
there aren't that many good options for an all new PC that cheap
refurbished ones on Amazon sometimes come with a warranty
Oh
Ok
theres no need for that
you would get better bang for your buck
not really
you'll have to swap the psu for something with pcie connectors
likely the case too assuming they dont use a proprietary mobo form factor
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5500, DIYPC S3-BK-ARGB ATX Mid Tower
this'll be fine for more than low settings
Alright
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GbQxDq get a used 3600 then u can afford a b550 mobo plus 1tb nvme, 3600 performs very similar to 5500
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Deepcool CG560 ATX Mid Tower
I3-12100f is better and only 97$
not by much, tbf. i'd rather have the extra cores
I heard threads are more important in gaming
so the 12100f is worse in gaming?
admittedly 4c/8t is enough for most games
but its nice to have 6c/12t looking forward
idk kinda confusing lol
it used to be high end lol
so 2700x has more threads and cores but i3 is generations ahead
does amd cpu and amd gpu work better than intel and amd
no not really
so same?
also I plan to overclock sometimes but Intel 12100f can't do that
but imma go with 12100f cuz it's cheaper
thanks for ur advice
wait @dusk burrow
this is the build I was reccomended
Part List - Intel Core i3-12100F, Thermaltake Versa H18 MicroATX Mini Tower
but I think the psu is too overkill for the estimated wattage of 173w
I likely only need 300w max
the gpu isn't counting as it's a custom insert thing
how much watts is a 5600 xt
nvm imma google
150 watts maximum
Estimated watts of everything is 173 but ill go with 200 to be on the safe side
so 350 watts basically
the psu of 600 watts is too overkill
no
there are no cheaper units worth getting
they're all bombs
what if it is gold certified
no
dang
I guess I'll use that if I needa upgrade later
oh shoot I forgot monitor
is there a monitor that costs $100-130 and is 1080p120 hz
not my suggestion, I ripped it off rety
Shop the Dell 27-inch Gaming Monitor (G2723H) capable of tear-free gaming, up to 280Hz refresh rate & AMD FreeSync Premium, or view all external computer monitors at Dell.com.
it's 1080p
I need a 1080p monitor that costs 50 bucks
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nTnr2m i found a ryzen 5 3600 with a cooler selling for $75 used and a dual fan rx 5700 selling for $129
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 3600, DIYPC S3-BK-ARGB ATX Mid Tower
I had that exact model and did a little thing called telling it that its a 5700xt
so i just flashed the 5700 to a 5700xt

BIOS flashing to unlock performance is nothing new... in fact it was part of the 5600XT launch proving that brands do artificially limit performance to make sure they don't get too close to more expensive video cards... So toda...
