If you haven't done so already, search up online how to enable it for your specific motherboard.
Well did you enable xmp in the bios?
That's the only setting that would make any noticeable difference
Then do this
The setting helps across the board and is pretty normal to enable
See if the issue is fixed, probably won't but you should still try
Did you increase capacity?
And if it's 5x the usage then that sounds pretty fucked
You added more ram physically right?
Good.
I was about to bring out the cane if you said anything but that lol
Only xmp
Xmp just makes the CPU more efficient sort of, that's the easy way of thinking
Just go enable it, if that doesn't fix it then come back
That means that you’re running 5 times more stuff
Nah just download some ram
Yes, depending on the type of ram you switch to
Whether or not the speed is the same
Then it’ll probably be 3600mhz, unless your cpu/mobo doesn’t support it
After enabling xmp?
Before xmp it’s obv gonna be lower because xmp is a sort of an overclock
If you switch ram, it will disable xmp I’m pretty sure
Reset what
Xmp is like a 2 click process
You can’t optimize it
Wdym
Can you send a screenshot of task manager?
Performance and process, if possible
That’s not weird
There’s just another program open or something
So just enable xmp in your bios and you’ll be good
What motherboard do you have?
What manufacturer
Is this a laptop?
Hmmmmm. Idk what the key is to get into the bios
Ok it’s f2
oh
ok
can you take a picture of the bios?
