#Game lags when discord runs

guys can anyone tell me why my game starts lagging upon opening discord? My specs are r5 3600 and rx6800 this has became an issue after i upgraded from 1650 super to rx 6800.i have done ddu and updated graphics drivers. I have tons other appls running in background with zero issues but the second I open discord,the game starts lagging,which wasn't an issue in my previous gpu.

How much ram do you have?

Also it could be a CPU bottleneck

Try desactivating hardware acceleration in discord settings

Maybe it's a bottleneck because of the CPU being too old

Cpu is perfectly fine still, old rig still has r5 3600

You could also try running discord ptb (public test build) or canary to see if they also show the same behavior

its coz of game overlay.

turning it off make the issue gone.

and as it seems,i am not the only victim of it.
