#Can you guys see this?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Probably ur monitor setting
Check to see if theres anything like adaptive brightness
Assuming this no laptop ofc
yeah its samsung g7
and other monior is a crap one
gonna update it tomorrow, and check through all settings carefully
Not much else I can do after that than buy new monitor I guess
Tried Valheim today, and ´theres a lot of flickering and the water is like squares almost flashing
Stuff renders in just last sec too
super wierd
Making a second thread now I see
But does this same behavior happen on the second monitor?
Uh, I think this isn't the first time OP is starting multiple threads for the same issue.
Just so you guys know.
And I'm just going to ignore you from now on until you stick to a single thread.
I am playing Valhiem now and stuff is Litterally rending in as I go like 1 m infront
<.<
new issue kind of :/
Lol
Closing thread and going with original then?
or what shall I do
have a hard time finding old threads
Not an actual answer to the question asked
Yeah happens on both monitors
tried different cables too
RIP gpu
Stuff renders in like 1 meter infornt of me
in valheim
and dayz
etc
Its a brand new 4070 ti
Chances are it's "doa"
Either that or drivers may be fucked, but i doubt it
Use DDU to uninstall drivers and then reinstall them
If it persists, gpu issue in that case
Render distances can't be monitor right?
Nope, it's exactly as i said
For the banding on the display, that's either cable or the display itself, as stated in the other thread
its a fresh install of windows <.<
Yep, go with DDU route to rule out driver issues first.
Just installed the drivers after installing windows
Hmm ok, those should be fine then.
nvidia gpus
:/
I guess, only been a few days since I got it as a replacement
had to pay 500 usd xD
They said they checked through the whole pc, and the previous GPU was defective.
Time to go back and have them find this one is dead as well
Just a hunch, but do you have any other stability issues with your pc at all?
Its way faster now with new gpu, not really
just visual flickers, super low rendering
on objects
water also behaves wierd
also really bad colour banding
like disturbingly bad
okay nvm then just bad luck more than likely, was going to be a little sus of potential power issues (because 2 dead gpus now) but if no other instability then that's likely not the case
Maybe I plugged stuff into the wrong ports on PSU XD
Would likely have a very fun magical smoke scenario if that was the case
y true
I was just thinking something along the lines of power instability/etc, which would be apparent in way more cases than just the gpu
I have the computer plugged into a extender
bought a fancy one with like a backup thingy
Just return to the shop (if it was a physical place, can't rember) and have them look at it again, consdiering it's so short of a time they'll just replace the gpu again (should be free of charge, just make sure to have reciepts)
UPS?
Can't return PC as its to heavy and no transport but I could go in with GPU I guess
last time I got help to get to the store
they had it in for like 4 days
Just give them a call and ask about it to see what the avenues are
If they'll allow just shipping the gpu and they send a new one, go that route, but they might require you to bring the whole pc in again
All depends
yeah :/
miss the laptop days a bit
oh yeah stutters ingame even if FPS meter shows 150 + fps
like when moving mouse
That sounds like it could be polling rate issue with mouse, windows bug
drop mouse polling rate to below 500 and see if it persists
but that would not explain the super wierd rendering across games?
nope xd
tempted to sell pc and buy a laptop but that would not be wise
If it does persist, it's likely just because gpu is dying
But if the budget allows for it, honesly wouldn't blame you
So polling rate is in windows settings or I need to download logitech?
Just updated the main monitors software too btw to latest version, nothing changed :/
Do you know a game that is good to test?
Valheim and DayZ might not be the best for testing this stuff
The polling rate frame/frametime drops will be noticeable in just about anything 3d rendered, but ye you'll need the software for your mouse to change it
Could it be the processor or motherboard?
Maybe they don't test that in store ...
he said that he tested the new card in store and it worked good, maybe they can't be trusted ...
How much polling u recommend?
Rendering issues are always going to be the gpu itself, not the other components
If it were other componenets you'd see a lot of weird stability issues in everything else as well
But basically just drop it till the issue goes away
If it doesn't, even at the lowest setting, then it's just gpu related and you've gotta wait till you get new one
still on lowest setting
so yeah gpu
Its way more on my main monitor
the Samsung G7
like almost exclusively
ordered new Displayport cable, it might just be that
since the store said it worked fine for them
Okay so the flickering stopped when I disabled "Adaptive Sync" on my main monitor
But don't I need that feature?
I think that one is meant to deal with screen tearing
If it's causing flickering, it's not working right.
Yeah it’s supposed to deal with screen tearing without affecting FPS, yeah it’s a clue though
So
I have not provided much in terms of pictures or videos yet so I uploaded benchmark from Heaven today, will take some time to process though but you can really notice the flickering and wierd stuff happening over and over. Didn't happen a few months ago.
Isn't this odd?
Maybe its the Cmos battery if it can't remember drivers?
Been having trouble with incorrect times too
or maybe this report is for laptop battery? XD
We don't see the screen tearing on the video, because it's happening at your monitor and the video is captured at display output. Video looks fine to everyone.
its not screen tearing its more like flickering shadows etc
new cable is coming tomorrow
otherwise I might contact samsung
Good that it looks fine to you, so its not graphics card then I guess.
What's your display like?
Ill check if it happens on the 1080 p monitor
Samsung G7 27 inch curved
Ok, I'll look that up.
You said the shadows were flickering, I wonder if the dimming zones are acting wonky on the display.
uhh..
I think Frank has got you covered.
I already turned it off
still same issue
It helped for still images to turn it off
but not moving
Installed the drivers for the pc now, had previously only for monitor
ill check if that helps
its same on both monitors
I don't get how u can't see it :/
ugh, half the reviews on samsung.se are in danish, hurts my brain trying to figure that out
my swedish is already lousy :P
Hmm ok, so there's another cause for that then.
u sure u can't see that if u look in shadows etc
Its like the shadows are broken
And there is stuttering
Nope, only shadow flicker I see is from the torchlights and that's intentional, also video plays smooth.
that is wierd :/
good to know though
But is recording same as playback?
maybe the recording works but not the actual live rendering?
Might use my phone to demostrate it
No, recording isn't the same as what you see on your displa. The recording is just a digital capture from display output, anything after that is different for each display.
And that is a bit weird tbh.
Computer also laggs a bit when I type, like input lagg almost
Keyboard shouldn't really lag unless your cpu is at like 100%
At least, not so much you notice.
mmm more swedish
haha
Finn here, half my relatives speak swedish and I still don't get much of what they're saying :P
haha ye same with finish
Anyway, I guess running a benchmark on the cpu should tell you it's working.
Oh, half of yours speak finnish rather? I think we should swap.
oh no just like hard time understanding
hehe
Tbh these issues makes me want to quit gaming :/ but ty for helping
Nah don't give up, but sorry I don't know where to go next with this.
Filmed by my iPhone. It's not this bad as in video but yeah
I think I see what you mean, it's like a static noise that's visible in the shadows?
yeah
and stuff pops in and out
certain angles
u could not see that in previous video?
Nope
Checked on my iPhone (First video) and u have to look really hard to see it, but on iPhone it looks way better
Seems like a more complex issue, will make some calls later see if I can figure it out
Hey i got a NEO G9 and i have same issue (and worse). Problem persist after a full repair mother board, panel and alim changed. Samsung SAV is AWOL on this. I wish u more chance

it was just a emotional support message ^^
