Ssd is crucial P5 plus.
Using Crucial official software.

The driver its talking about is installed, i reinstalled it

The criteria below i have met by: making the drive 'offline' state

Formatted the drive with disk partitioner and has no mounted partitions

Has no encryption

Not sure what system is in AHCI mode means, but under device manager there is an AHCI device listed

Crucial P5 Plus support things like secure erase so last criteria should be met too.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Im also running windows 10 off a USB as 'windows to go' dont know if this affects it

I cant find AHCI or RAID in the bios?

#

Its an H610i-ddr4

#

Also idk if this helps:

#

This is what happens

#

I have this screen

#

@sly python

#

Again, im running windows off a live windows to go usb but i dont see how that would affect anything

#

This is sus though

sly python
#

they are probably blocking it on the ssd.

Mines not even on the list 😂😂

#

Oh appare tly stoAHCI replaces MSAHCI

#

So it is AHCI

sly python
#

cause sanitizing the drive is basically writing all zeros or ones to every bit on the drive. some times multiple times which is very bad for the lifetime usage of the ssd.

the controller chip on that series of drives may not support the function. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
