Hello. I have an ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4 and a Ryzen 1600 non x. I have bios verson 5.4 (or 5.1 cant remember, does not matter).
In the latest bios version (7.3) https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/fatal1ty x370 gaming k4/index.asp#BIOS

It says "2. Support Renoir, Vermeer, and Cezanne CPU." Vermeer is Zen 3 aka 5000 series.
but in CPU support list there are nothing past 3000. My stupid questions is if I can put like 5800X3D in this mobo? i am not so in the mood to new mobo and ram just for 7800 series.

@molten gyro I reset BIOS to default settings and disabled AMD fTPM, Secure Boot CSM, and XMP profiles on my memory(Set to Auto). I then reflashed the BIOS with Beta 7.10. Rebooted and reset BIOS and disabled all the same settings. I then swapped out the CPU and only used 1 memory module in B2 slot as directed by ASROCK. Turned on the PC and the symptoms appeared to be the same but after about 5 seconds the POST codes started flashing and the system rebooted twice I think and said NEW CPU installed and complained about fTPM being disabled and to press Y to reenable it, which I did and the system rebooted and I was able to get into BIOS. Booted to Windows with the 1 memory module to make sure I could get into Windows without issues, and then I rebooted and added more memory 1 module at a time and all appears to work great.
