#PC Bios loop after power surge

So my pc has been stuck in a bios loop and won't load up windows for the last week now. I've replaced the old cmos battery, old ram and the old ssd. My pc worked completely fine prior to a power surge. I've also tried to load windows on to it via usb but it just goes straight back to the bios. I think I've tried everything at this point and I'm just wondering if I should just replace my motherboard at this point??? Any help is greatly appreciated ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Get the motherboard checked. The CPU/GPU could also be heavily damaged.

Power surges can and will cause damage that cannot be seen. Often it's better to replace everything; it could seem fine, but it can turn into a rapid cascade failure.

if it was plugged into a surge protector, I would highly recommend replacing the surge protector too, as the protection is probably gone at this point.

There may actually be several factors. It could be something with your hard drive, or the bios. Check your bios and see what hard drive mode it is on. There might be a section called storage devices or something like that where it has options like Raid On or AHCI. If it is on RAID ON, switch to AHCI mode, or vice versa and try booting up to see if that works.

Also, check in the bios if it even sees the hard drive. You should also check your boot options to see if it sees the drive or Windows Boot Manager. If it doesn't have Windows Boot Manager or the drive where windows is installed in your boot options, then you might have to rebuild the EFI partition.

Those are several options you can try before shelling out cash to replace a part. I've seen something like this a few times at my job and it is definitely something to look into. The fact that you're getting a POST give me some kind of hope for your motherboard. It could be blue screen crashing and set to automatically reboot without giving a blue screen error

So, stating that there's most likely damage caused by a surge and that the CPU and GPU could also be damaged is somehow not relevant? You don't seem to have experience with equipment that has been damaged by surges. I've had devices that passed day long stress tests only for them to suddenly fail weeks later. One being a CPU. It was internally damaged, I don't know where it was damaged, but it ended up spreading over time with zero warning. My most recent case of electrical surges is my own desktop featuring my MB. It was after the third 6900XT GPU that I looked at the MB. I should have taken pictures but I didn't. Power was being forced through the PCIe x16 slot and into the VRAM. Yes, I could have and should have given more information. I, just like you also said, figured Milkmane found the issue to be the MB.
