#Docking station for M2 Mac Chip?

I need a docking station that gives me 2x external monitor support for a Apple MacBook Air M2, 2022 - A2681.

I'm finding that a lot of the docks listed say the M2 chip only supports 1x external monitors. The site I use locally to purchase is pbtech.co.nz in terms of what is available where I am.

Appreciate any help or support on this 🙂

No budget at the moment. its for the big boss man, so getting something that works is the priority. but probably needs to still not cost more than the mac.

While Apple’s MacBooks featuring the company’s own M1 or M2 Silicon chip are super speedy compared to the models sporting Intel processors, early models come with an incredible limitation: they don’t support more than one external display in Extended Mode even via their Thunderbolt 3 ports. This means that when using any docking station, M1 MacBook users cannot extend their desktop over two or more displays, and will be limited to either dual Mirrored displays or one external display—although there are software workarounds and dedicated docks that allow you to add more than one external monitor to an M1 or M2 MacBook.

Looks like since M2 chips are still new it is limited to one extended display with just plug and play anymore absolutely requires additional drivers

#

Although I have to see about windows its possible windows does not require additional drivers
