Earlier today for some reason in my pc, all the accounts mysteriously disappeared except for my younger brothers account which has no admin. I've tried a lot of things, and I have the admin pass and it still works, but I can't get the accounts back without an account that already has admin. I've tried to move all the data and make a recovery drive, but for some reason that needs an account with admin. Does anyone have any ideas to escape without having to wipe my drive/get a new copy of windows etc.?

Heres something you could try. Get a USB and put Hirens Boot CD on it and then boot to it. From there go and search for users or something along those lines and you can create another account and give it admin privs. Hopefully this works for you, I know that you can change other peoples passwords using this method so you should be able to create an admin account.
alright man, thanks for this. I dont get home until quite late at night and I will try it when I have a chance. Thanks for this piece of information and I hope it works too.
So, what you can do is to do the following:
To get into the Windows Recovery Environment, there some ways but the easiest is probably, on the log in screen click on the power icon in the lower-right corner of the screen and hold down the "Shift" key while clicking restart. This will take you to the recovery environment.
From there, you can access the command prompt terminal. From there, you can make an admin account to log in from by typing in the following command "net user Administrator /active:yes"
That will create an account called Admin.
I'll try this too, though i did try it through a command prompt and it denied access for some reason. I also tried to open the recovery environment and the computer just bluescreened when i tried for some reason.
Tried this, but when I tried to open the command prompt terminal, but it wouldn't let me as an admin account is required to log into the command prompt
Ok, a situation update
I've discovered that all of the accounts still exist, and I can access admin command prompts through some trickery. The issue is that the account picker is completely gone, still leaving me without access to my account itself. Any ideas?
Update: I fixed it
