#Scale Monitor in Software

if you want to change the size, window it, and then shrink it yourself
No I mean it is a windowed application. It's full-screen on the top, but markedly smaller horizontally as I drag it down
The computer appears to think the upper screen is significantly smaller horizontally
because your display on the bottom is larger and probably a different resolution than your bottom one
It is, 1080 v 1440. Do I need to fake upscale the top to match? Not sure I can go above native with standard controls
The goal is for apps not to change size as they are dragged between screens
the question is why? readjusting the display takes less than 30 seconds. i dont understand how its a huge issue
Some Cave Johnson quote on safety door invention goes here
I mean, quality of life? Why not strive for improvement where possible?
get the same display, that will solve your issue
Got a spare 800$ extra?
do you? i have the same monitors, spliting them isnt an issue for me, works fine
if 800$ is an improvement for you go ahead lol but its not a huge deal
Look- I get you're trying to help, but saying ignore it or buy another screen isn't exactly what I was seeking
Surely there's a, perhaps hackey, software solution here
thats a good question to ask chatgpt! 😄
I've tried actually lol, little success
All dead websites and non existent controls
ask in #tech-chat-1 or #tech-chat-2 for some software, maybe you will get a guy to respond
I don't know of a way to fix that in software either, since windows only knows about the desktop resolution and nothing about the physical dimensions of your different screens
I think making windows think it's a higher resolution in software might work, but no idea how to do that
