so basically did I always need to have three screws to install my m.2? look

cause I basically only had screws on both opposite sides

and not on the actual SSD

Nope! You only need 1, the others are for different lengths of M.2 drives

and do I necessarily need a heat shield for my m.2? @digital hawk

cause my heat shield is too big for the SSD

and doesn’t have a middle hole to secure the SSD
