#How do I play minecraft in Virtual Box?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
My CPU and GPU are both AMD if that takes anything easier (which I've been told it apparently does)
VirtualBox does only have a virtual GPU/CPU, so that's why you get that error - not sure if you can play Minecraft without using OpenGL
you can use a GPU as passthrough though, but that would mean either using an additional GPU in your PC, or allocating your GPU to the VM, which will mean it won't be usable on your host machine as well
not sure if VirtualBox even supports GPU passthrough though
why are you looking to play in VirtualBox anyway?
Long story short I was banevading on a server with an alt account on a VPN. now I got my main account unbanned but I wanna get my alts items onto my main without both accounts pinging from the same IP
so I thought if one was in a VM with a VPN and one was on host. I could play both accounts simultaneously.
I just want both accounts to go ping from different IP's
essentially
so you got banned and looking for a way around it
no, I got unbanned I now I don't wanna get called out for having been ban-evading
If youre not banned, and just wanna play with 2 accounts with 2 differents ip
Ill try to help
Have you install the guests additions in the guest vm ?
If mc server doesn't block VPN connections I doubt they even check what account is bound to what IP
Also there are apps on phones that allow you to connect and move in game, you can try that
I tried that but it didn't seem to work
I know for a fact that they check but they just aren't smart about it, I have a lot of accounts from friends who stopped playing and back when I was banned they would get IP banned as soon as they logged in. But a simple VPN avoided it.
there isn't really a good way to handle this, other than completely blocking VPNs
use another computer, or have a friend help you do the item transfers, is my recommendation tbh
