#Forgot password of my old android. Is there a way to access it without data loss?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
that is no good answer bro, i was asking for a way to do it
I didnt mean unlock the damn device
I mean unlocking the bootloader
so you can install custom recoveries for it, or something like that
so recovering the data with a bootloader or smth like that could help
is it possible to unlock bootloader without being able to access the OS?
yes, usually its done in the bootloader/fastboot mode of the device
so no os needed
tho it usually means removing the internal data, you gotta check yourself on that
whether it can be done without removing data, as i mentioned before
well i saw some ways with ADB, but i cant enable usb debugging
well there are some programms that have the ability to remove the lock without data but its like 30 bucks
I personally dont trust that kind of service
any imei unlock, password remover, and stuff
yeah
i tried enabling usb debugging n stuff but i wasnt successful. After 2 hours i gave up because it gave me a headache
What device
Didn't even give the most basic info smh
preferably the exact model # and if you know, the android version it's on
model is GT-19301 and android version is 4.4.2
mmmmm iirc the s3 didn't wipe data when flashing recovery with odin
just trips the knox counter
I could be remembering incorrectly about that
hard part is just going to be finding a working version of odin and good flashable image, lots of files don't exist on servers anymore due to that being almost 10 years old now god that makes me feel old to say and i ain't even that old
ive got clockworkmod recovery system, is it possible to backup all my data to an sd card so i can view my old images again?
take a full backup and move it to somewhere safe, then download latest twrp image and flash it: https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxys3neo.html

twrp has a file browser (and touch input) which will be very helpful for just yoinking shit out of internal storage as long as encryption is disabled
which older android versions had a tendency to not be encrypted w/ a password (allowing a custom recovery to also reset password
good memories )
Whachu mean?
onto an sd card
Also yeye, just data would suffice if time is an issue, full backup doesn't hurt tho
i mean what does that twrp do or what exaclty is that
I just suggest swapping to twrp (as long as CWM allows flashing images, i can't recall if it does) due to it being way more and way better featured
ah ok
is that a recovery system?
If cwm doesn't have an option for flashing images i'll try to find a zip flashable image for twrp in the depths
ye
twrp is just a different custom recovery, still active dev xd
can i flash it with odin?
yes there are some .tar files in the downloads of the website you sent
man i'm officially blind
20/10 can read
i promise
Theoretically should just work™️, you do already have odin/know how to flash recovery ye?
i already used odin to flash it with clockworkmod so yes
IM IN
its working
in twrp?
im in my phone i dont know how but i am
yes i booted it and poof it just said swipe to unlock
