Hey. I got a Gigabyte G5 MF laptop recently. Sound worked fine on the first day, but after that the sound has been malfunctioning. Most times it doesn't work at all, but at best it's been either really quiet or strangely only changes briefly when I use the volume slider.

I've reinstalled the audio driver from the official source on Gigabyte's website to no avail. The only thing that I can think of is that I had to make a number of updates requested on first startup, but otherwise, there were no sound issues encountered until after I started it up the next day. Would like to know my next step, a bit stumped atm.

I had to reboot it a couple times on the first day with some other problems that I resolved, the sound issues started after I had booted it the next day.

If there's no obvious solution I will probably attempt resetting the PC, as I'm not exactly depending on it for anything rn.

Silly question but did you use a mute key somewhere by accident?
