Bro at least write the issue so other people can also help you
Ok thought since you were on the case already
im getting shit to boot now, i have like 4 different drives tho..
Im like 99% sure the os is on drive 1, which is an m.2 but when i try to boot from it, nothing happens, it just loops back to bios.
When i try to boot from drive 2, an old hdd, it boots, but i get like a recovery error think. I think i used to have an os on this drive, but moved it when i got the m.2
Drive 3 and 4 dont boot at all, as expected cause they should not have any os on them
I did that, only 1 drive was connected at a time when i went through all
And psu was shut off in between attempts
Well the 99% becomes 0%
I cant imagine i put the os on a 12y old 500g laptop hdd when i set it all up last time..
Instead of the brand new 1tb m.2
I have had old operating systems that i havent completely wiped yet
1st time boots on old hdd can take quite a while
Like 10min
And you'll have a black screen for long
Ok im trying to boot now with drive 1 and 2
Just with one
Oh fuck me now it worked
Im on desktop
Ye the m.2 had the os as i knew..
Ok question
In the old pc, i only had drive 1 and 2 connected, plan was to connect 3 and 4 later to clean them up.
Now.. when rebuilding it all, i tried drive 1, i tried 2, i tried 1234, but i just now did 12
Is there any chance that the two drives depended on eachother, but could not have drive 3 or 4 connected?
Not if you didn't use any raid setups
Just swap sata ports and cables
Drives are picky when on new systems
I did use random sata ports, but still drive 1 with os is an m.2
For example my pc uses 2 and 4 because 1 and 3 didn't work
And i later was able to switch to 1 and 2
For NO REASONS
ok in replying from PC now, just had to get everything else set up sorry for the long delay
probably just the computer being stubborn then
cause i was very stunned when it just randomly booted into desktop now
Fixed?
