You can try FanControl, look it up on GitHub

or umm hw info

#

its better

#

more stable software

#

more hardware support

#

so

dreamy badger
#

hwinfo is for monitoring your system, not for controlling the fans

#

either mobo's own software/bios or gettind remo's fancontrol from github

wow really
bro at least know about the software before commenting

#

this is hw info

#

i think you meant hw monitor

I actually don't have the fan button on my HWInfo either on the 2-in-1 that I wanted to try it out on. It seems to only work/appear on certain brands of laptops that support "external" fan control...

vague epoch
#

obvious

#

you should enable monitoring the fan sensor
scroll all the way down, right click and enable
external fans rarely appear on laptops only internals do
desktops can control any fan

#

unless its separate

I put the external in quotes for that reason because I didn't mean actual external fan control like hooking something up to your laptop, I meant outside of the BIOS or whatever controls the fan

vague epoch
#

ah tht makes sense

ur dumb srsly it doesn't show fan icon for those devices not eligible for managing fan( no access for hw info)

#

no add ones

dreamy badger
vague epoch
#

default gives option for eligble ones

vague epoch
#

just check google

dreamy badger
#

what site did you use?

vague epoch
#

its eligibilty based

vague epoch
#

one sec

dreamy badger
#

official site which i use

vague epoch
#

same site only

#

lol

#

it eligibilty based

#

as i said

#

some devices don't allow fan control

#

so that gets disabled for them

#

for me , the software has access

#

so it has that option
no one's wrong here

#

im saying both of us are right

#

u reached to that conclusion as for you, the fan control doesn't appear

#

forme it does
this is just due to the software access difference
there's nothing much that can be done
not your fault

#

its the access limiting
