High usage is a good sign not a bad. If it does not have high usage its bottlenecked or the game is badly optimized.

Now it's also possible your cpu is bottlenecking. So would need to know all the specs. And would be also good if you check temperature in games. You can use gpu-u and cpu-u or core temp for that. Whatever you prefer

I just got this gpu from Ebay (Its 8gb)

Apex nor Fortnite which are the titles I tested with sometimes crash

The message it gives me is that there is insufficient ram allocated but doesn't it do that automatically?
